Apple-Butterscotch Brownies
2 Dozen
INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup Pecans, Chopped
2 Cups Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed
1 Cup Butter, Melted
2 Large Eggs, Lightly Beaten
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 Cups Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
3 Cups Tart Green Apple, Peeled And Diced
DIRECTIONS:
Toast pecans for 8-10 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. Stir once halfway through. Stir together brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add sifted ingredients to brown sugar mixture and stir until well mixed. Stir in apples and pecans. Pour mixture into a greased and floured 13x9 pan; spread in an even laer. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
