Apple Pie

INGREDIENTS:

2 Pillsbury Pie Crusts
2/3 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Cinammon
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
Dash Salt
8 Apples, Peeled And Thinly Sliced
2 Tablespoons Butter

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Follow package instructions for pie crust.

Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in large bowl. Peel, core and thinly slice apples. Stir into sugar mixture. Turn into pastry- lined pie plate. Dot with butter. Cover with top pastry. Fold top edge under lower edge, pressing on rim to seal. Flute. Cut slits in top crust, and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Cover edge with 3-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning. Remove foil during last 15 minutes of baking.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through the slits in the crust.
