English Toffee


INGREDIENTS:

1/2 Cup Pecans, Chopped
8 Ounces Hershey Bars
1/2 Pound Butter
1 Cup Sugar
4 Tablespoons Water

DIRECTIONS:

"Butter 10"" x 15"" x 2"" cookie sheet. Spread pecans in center of cookie sheet. Break Hershey bars evenly over nuts. Melt butter in saucepan. Add water and sugar. Cook until a puff of smoke appears and mixture becomes amber, stirring constantly. Pour over nuts and chocolate. Melt remaining chocolate bars; pour over toffee; spread. Let cool. Break in pieces."
