Apfel Kuchen


INGREDIENTS:

2 Cups Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Grated Zest Of 1 Lemon
1-2 Tablespoons Milk
1/2 Egg, Beaten
Transparent Apples
Cinnamon
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Egg, Beaten
3-4 Tablespoons Milk
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Cold Butter

DIRECTIONS:

Combine 2 C. flour, 1/2 C. sugar, baking powder, salt, 1/2 C. butter, 2 eggs, vanilla, lemon rind, and 1-2 T. milk. Spread in pans. Coat with 1/2 beaten egg. Slice apples and layer on dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1 C. sugar. Mix 1/2 beaten egg and 3-4 T. milk. Pour over cake. Cut 1 C. flour and 1/2 C. sugar into 1/2 C. cold butter. Mix until crumbly. Crumble over cake. Bake at 350 degrees 30-40 minutes.
