Batter-Fried Portabella Mushrooms

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 Pound Portabella Mushroom Caps
Peanut Oil, For Deep Frying
Batter:
12 Ounces Light Beer
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Tablespoon Seasoned Salt
DIRECTIONS:
Mix the ingredients for the batter and set aside.
Cut the mushrooms into 6 or 8 wedges depending on size of mushroom. Dip into the batter and deep-fry in 375 degree oil 5-6 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oil, salt and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with ranch dressing for dipping.
