Ham Stuffed Green Peppers

INGREDIENTS:

4 Green Peppers
1 Onion, Chopped
1 Cup Ham, Diced
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Tomatoes, Peeled And Diced
1 Cup Cooked Rice
Grated Cheese Or Bread Crumbs

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice off top of peppers. Remove seeds. Cook in boiling water for 5 minutes. Cool. Saute onion and tomatoes in butter. Add ham and rice. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Fill peppers generously and cover with grated cheese or buttered bread crumbs. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Raise the temperature to 400 degrees and bake until the tops are brown.
