Hannoverisches Gurken Gemuese (Braised Cucumbers)

INGREDIENTS:

2 Tablespoons Butter
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Large Cucumbers, Peeles And Cut In 2-Inch Pieces
1 Medium Onion, Chopped
2 Tomatoes, Quartered
1/4 Cup Water
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1/4 Teaspoon Dill Weed
1/2 Cup Sour Cream

DIRECTIONS:

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add sugar and salt. Cook until lightly browned. Add cucumber and onion. Cook, stirring constantly, until onions are transparent. Add tomatoes, water, lemon juice and dill weed. Cook 10-12 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Serve immediately.
