French Custard

INGREDIENTS:

2 Cups Half and Half
2/3 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Flour
1/3 Teaspoon Salt
2 2/3 Tablespoons Butter
3 Egg Yolks
1 Teaspoon Vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

Heat milk in double boiler. Mix 2/3 cup sugar with the flour and salt, add to hot milk and mix well. Add melted butter When this thickens, add egg yolks, cooking until thick, 185 to 190 degrees F. When you take it off the heat, add vanilla. Allow to set.
